NEET MDS 2022 Counselling Date:
Once the online registration process for counselling begins, the registration window will be open for 8 days.
The choice filling and locking window will be opened after about a week of commencement of registration while the result of seat allotment will be released within 05 days after the closing of registrations. Similarly, rounds 2 and 3 will be carried out as well, each round with a gap of 2 to 3 weeks.
- Note that registration ends on 23rd September 8 pm (This is a few days before choice filling ends).
- Choice filling starts only from 20th September and ends on 25th September.
- Official Seat matrix will be released before choice filling starts. There might be unofficial ones floating around before 20th Sep. Even if you see them, reconfirm with the official seat matrix released in www.mcc.nic.in before choice filling (most likely on 20th Sep or a earliest a day before). Don't expect the seat matrix before 20th September.
- On Sep 15th the registration is going to open up at any time(12, 3, or 6 pm). MCC may decide to open registration at any time tomorrow. Right from this morning, you would have messages flooding forums asking why it hasn't started yet, what time it started last year, and when it's expected to start. There have also been a number of guesses on what Sep 15th actually means (12 noon, 6 p.m., 11:59 p.m. or so on)

- You will also have a lot of candidates complaining that about the delay and creating panic etc. etc.
- You can get anxious looking at all this. Or stay calm knowing that every candidate who wanted to register, has registered every year and no one has missed out on registration.
- Expect it to start late on 15th Sep, and don’t be surprised even if it starts late night. Would feel good if it starts early. And for the first few hours there will be so many login issues due to overload which will result again in another flooding of messages. Stay out of the discussions.
- Most of the fee transaction failures happen on the first day or two due to overload. Many mistakes happen usually on the first few days. Many candidates misunderstand info and enter wrong details. Clarification notifications may be issued by MCC in the first 2 days. If you wait for a day or two, you will have complete clarity (with all these issues being discussed in forums) and you would clearly know what to do and what not to do during Registration.
- Again - DON’T RUSH for registration. Keep calm, and register on Sep 17th or later – preferable early morning - more than enough. Unlike NEET PG exam registration, where center choice is involved, in counseling there is no first registerer advantage. Allotments will be as per rank.
- If you are not aware of a term, not aware of what to enter ask for clarifications. There is ample time to register. Don’t assume anything.
- Even if registration does not start on 15th Sep - don't worry – this year you have 8 days for registration and a few more days post that for choice filling. You can register even after choice filling starts on 20th Sep.
- Remember that those who remain calm and don't keep complaining throughout the process will make better decisions through-out the process.
